Trilayer Controlled Release lron Tablet 30mg.
DESCRIPTION:
EIROFER CR is composed of three different Iron forms that are programmed to release in a controlled manner and is useful in case of iron deficiency or increased bodily requirements.
The “fast” release layer contains Iron (II) bis glycinate, aimed to maximize gastric tolerability, for a prompt release and a quick absorption in the very first tract of the intestine.
The “intermediate release” layer contains Iron (II) Sulphate, for duodenal release and absorption (within 2 hours after ingestion)
The “retard” layer contains Iron (II) pyrophosphate (Micro encapsulation technology), aimed to release part of iron during the transit through the jejunum and the cecum (within 4 hours after the ingestion)

Ferrous bisglycinate providing iron: 10mg
Ferrous sulphate providing iron: 10mg
Ferric pyrophosphate (Micro encapsulation technology)
Providing iron: 10mg
INDICATIONS:
• For prevention and treatment of Iron deficiency anemia.
• In cases of increased bodily requirements as in pregnancy and lactation.
DOSAGE: One tablet daily or as directed by a physician.
MANDATORY WARNINGS:
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

SIDE EFFECTS:
Do not take in known cases of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients used in Eirofer CR

DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Iron reduces the absorption of many drugs like quinolone antibiotics, tetracyclines, bisphosphonates,
levodopa, levothyroxine, methyldopa, mycophenolate mofetil and penicillamine. To avoid this
interaction takes iron two hours before or two hours after taking medication.
STORAGE:
Store at temperature not above 25° C; avoid exposure to localized heat sources, sunlight and contact with the water.
